Zarakolu's Son Acquitted
On 20 August Istanbul SSC No. 4 concluded the case of Cihan Deniz Zarakolu, son of Ragip and Aysenur Zarakolu. During the funeral of his mother on 27 January he allegedly said that his mother's name would be given to a town, once Kurdistan was founded. He had been charged according to Article 312 TPC, but the court acquitted the defendant. (Evrensel-TIHV, August 21, 2003)
